Coldplay was on SNL this weekend – they got three songs. At end of show, Chris sang “Yellow.” At very end of song he sang, “Look at the stars, look how they shine for you” and then shouted “Obama.” Just sayin’.
Wish I’d seen that – I like R.E.M. Someone made me a CD mix of theirs and put pictures of the band on the front cover, a picture of a brain scan taken during REM sleep on the inside cover, and titles on the back in Georgia script because they are from Georgia. It would seem from the Milk Carton interview that Grace doesn’t like Michael Stipe, but he always appears more shy and uptight than arrogant to me. One of the comments at the end of the M.C. interview said this: “Chuck Klosterman wrote a piece with Radiohead where Yorke detailed that after the release of ‘OK Computer,’ he was thinking of leaving Radiohead, but got talked down into a state of calm by Michael Stipe, and the two have been incredible friends since. . . .” Will the real Michael Stipe stand up?
Karen, if you should drop back in, check this out. Cute.
Will have to copy and close the gaps - not chancing a link.

AH: I thought of just going to YouTube and entering this ID — UxlwYP0HNdc — and that took me to kids from Ron Clark academy singing “You Can Vote However You Like.” Suspect that was what you intended — it was cute. Thanks.
Yes that was the video. It really appealed to me for some reason - maybe like seeing kids being encouraged to get involved - even if just thinking about a song and dance.
Hmm - - might be an accidental pun there.
That was clever of you to figure out how to get around the bad link. Am tucking that trick away for future use. Thanks !
I hope you caught the Yamagata/LaMontagne duet as part of Heather’s Monday Music Roundup this week … it will leave you breathless. I look forward to seeing her in a week or so as part of the Hotel Cafe Tour.
Did see that and noted Heather’s comment about thinking of her as a female RLM.
Listened to some of her music and didn’t quite do that for me but found her very interesting. Wishing you a great concert :]
How do you find things like this? Seriously entertaining and way creepy.

Hmmm , links go into moderation now ?
Okay, trying again - can scrap the other post if notice it.
Clever and funny.
First site I saw it on today had a link and if get to the movie’s host site there are some others worth watching too.
Karen,
Michael Stipe of R.E.M. wasn’t nearly so subtle during their set at the New Orleans Voodoo festival but same message.
