Grace in the Idaho Statesman (I am not making the “Statesman” thing up)
Don’t divorce you’re wife just because I said one line.
You said this Gov’t Mule run is your first tour on a real bus. Are you on the bus now? It’s so quiet.I am. And I’m not wearing any underwear.
You could have told me that earlier. That would have made a different interview.
Grace must have been on the phone for what? Five minutes? And in that time she manages to convey, authenticity, fun and a wicked sense of humor.
Small piece of “Gold Dust Woman”

Am thinking Grace could step back a few generations and fit right in - and that’s intended as a compliment. Still working on the music but am definitely a fan of the woman herself.
And that begs a question - am assuming I’m not the only one who does this - why do we instantly connect to some artists the first time we hear them, and have to work at appreciating others ? An obvious answer is a sense of familiarity but that can work against as well as for so don’t think that is the whole equation.
If someone whose opinion I respect likes an artist I didn’t initially connect with, I’m always willing to spend some time trying to figure out what they are hearing that I’m missing. Sometimes it works - Tom Waits, The Racontuers - sometimes it doesn’t - Dave Mattews.
Shutting up now and going out to enjoy the sunny day.
Grace seems to be joining Tom btw.
That chick is boss. I love her attitude and “realness”. I must have been under a rock but I had no idea that she’s legally blind.
I’ve come to really like many of GPTN songs. She’s in my Sara Bareilles category although Grace is like Sara’s big, bad step-sister.
R.E.M. Winona. Grace. Hmmm? What next?
Taylor HicksDancing Monkeys? (Ed. Note: like that?)AH, You really must see Grace live - and I mean that. It changes everything. I would recommend the 28th, 29th or 31st in Burlington, VT.
So is this no underwear thing a common thing? If so, I would like those to be front row center tickets.
Seriously though, she has a great attitude, let us hope the industry doesn’t beat it out of her.
Kired, there are a lot more important things happening on this blog right now than my tits.
Or something.
*smirk* Gotta love a woman who’s open about her camel toe issues. *snicker* And there is nothing more important than tits, they are one of the largest reasons men do anything at all. Or as a musical sentiment, “You know that ain’t no shit we’ll be getting lots of tit In Grease Lightning.”
“This is a rock ’n’ roll show. If you came for any other reason, there’s the exit. Get the fuck out.”
“All the fucking squares go home”
I love a good attitude !
Shouter, would love to, really would, but two words - Mapquest and winter
( why the (*) am I opening the map site . . . . . . )
