Since we are throwin down kick as guitar, try Mr. Michael Hedges
Just in case you wanted a little E.E. Cummings with some nice guitar. Michael Hedges - I Carry Your Heart
I saw Richard Thompson live right after that Vincent Black Lightening 1952 album came out…what was the name of it? He was absolutely astounding. One of the best shows ever.
And thanks for the REM. *sniff sniff*
Hmmm. Beeswing, Wall Of Death, and 1952 Vincent Black Lighting.
Relationship songs….
Everything okay?
Beeswing was just too sad. Here’s one that lifts me up:

Well, I come by it honestly.

Richard Thompson has been a long, long-time regular on the music festival circuit that includes my area. I’ve never been a part of his cult-like following, but have long recognized him as a fine, fine songwriter. The Rumor and Sigh album got my attention big-time, and 1952 Vincent Black Lightening has long been on my “all time greatest songs list.” People need to hear music that is this good.
It never fails to amaze me that the great music goes undiscovered, while shyte sells like hotcakes. “There’s no underestimating,” and all that… It’s a miracle anything good gets through at all.
Keep ‘em coming.
